To coincide with International Sculpture Day and in celebration of The Line’s 5th anniversary, they have launched The Line Online: a new interactive website offering a virtual experience of The Line which can be enjoyed at home.
Ah, the RA Summer show! People insist on assessing it as if it were an exhibition, when it is essentially an Art Fair: one without gallerists, but with the usual features of variable quality, too much to take in, and visual incoherence. As such, there will of course be plenty to annoy you, but you will also have, every now and again, one of the best fair experiences – you see a work, wonder who made it, are surprised to find it was x. But then you think yes, that makes sense as an extension of their practice.

Slipstream is a new public artwork by Richard Wilson at Heathrow’s Terminal 2 which is set to open June 2014. Commissioned by Heathrow and curated by public arts agency Futurecity, the monumental sculpture exists in a void of airspace in the Terminal 2 entrance hall.

Curators Futurecity launch Paynes & Borthwick Gallery – a real-time virtual replica of an actual gallery space, due for completion in autumn this year, at the Paynes & Borthwick development project on the banks of the River Thames in West Greenwich, SE8.
