Three art fairs to visit in Los Angeles during Frieze Week

Frieze Week Los Angeles kicks off this week and below FAD has chosen three art fairs that you need to visit.

Frieze Los Angeles

9900 Wilshire Boulevard Beverly Hills,

Frieze Los Angeles, which will take place from February 17th to 20th, 2022Returning to the city in its third year, after a hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the fair introduces a new, expanded location at 9900 Wilshire Boulevard in Beverly Hills, adjacent to The Beverly Hilton. Featuring 100 Galleries from 17 countries. Central to this year’s program is a collaboration with artist Tanya Aguiñiga, who has organized BIPOC Exchange, a special section highlighting ten of Los Angeles’ artist-led social-impact initiatives. In addition, a dedicated instalment of Frieze Viewing Room will open in advance of the fair on February 15th, offering a first look at the fair’s galleries and programming. MORE

Felix Art Fair

Felix LA 2021 at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel

Taking place February 17th-20th, 2022 at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. The 2022 edition of the fair will take over the hotel’s guest rooms on the 10th and 11th floors and the cabanas surrounding the David Hockney pool. Featuring 60 international exhibitors from around the globe, including galleries from Berlin, Paris, Tokyo, Milan, Dusseldorf, New York, and Los Angeles. In keeping with Felix’s mission to showcase fresh talent and emerging artists alongside established art spaces, this year’s fair welcomes over 20 first-time exhibitors, including Broadway (New York), Misako and Rosen (Tokyo), One Trick Pony (Los Angeles), and The Ranch (Montauk). Spring Break

Returning for its third instalment during Frieze Week LA from February 17th – 20th, 2022 at a new location in Culver City, the show will feature over 50 curator-led exhibitions under the theme HEARSAY:HERESY. Skylight Culver City, is an expansive, 30,000 square foot warehouse built in 1940, owned by visionary developer Redcar. The former factory site is nestled in the Arts District of Culver City, notably just a 15 minute drive from Frieze LA’s Beverly Hilton-adjacent location. MORE
